is a traditional product of High Quality, subject to the protection and enhancement project that has seen players a group of local farmers guardians, supported by the University of Basilicata, the Institute of Horticulture CRA Pontecagnano , by the Town Council, the Community Montana Vallo di Diano ", the Province of Salerno.
this project which sought to recover the one hand local ecotypes of this unique product unmatched by organoleptic characteristics, thereby protecting biodiversity, and the other to enhance the production through the certification process.

Today the name "beans Casalbuono" is limited to local landraces of beans that meet the conditions and requirements specified in the product approved by DGC N ° 54 of 28/05/2010 and distinguished by Collective Mark filed with the Chamber of Commerce of Salerno No. SA2010C000029.
